Annette Hill
Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor
I started going to the gym when I was 20 because of a knee injury, rather than having surgery I opted to strengthen the muscles around the joint and this is how I discovered my passion for fitness and realising the benefits though rehabilitation (as well as dodging surgery completely). I have competed in road and adventure walks, full and half marathons and won Gold at Sth Pacific Masters Games then completely changed direction and went into bodybuilding & body sculpting and competed on and off for over 17years winning Ms NZ and NZ National Physique champion numerous times. I have also coached clients to compete with great success on stage with 5 comps and 5 wins which is one of the highlights of my career.
I am a big advocate for breaking the stigma around the gym being a ‘male macho’ environment, I have worked hard over the past 35yrs to change this in each gym I have trained, worked or owned to make women feel more comfortable, I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals whatever they may be, I have a wide variety of clients from my youngest being 10yrs of age with behavioural issues to an 83yr old man who was super fit, I love personal training and designing programmes for each of my clients & can help with nutritional advice, weight loss and muscle gain.
