Grace Ngataua
My name is Grace and I’m currently studying a Diploma in Applied Personal Training and Netfit Fitness Leader.
I was raised in Coroglen, went through Middle School at Mercury Bay Area School as Head Girl, and later graduated High School as Head Girl of Hauraki Plains College. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children aged 1,3,4 and have been managing a gym in Morrinsville for the past few years. In my spare time I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my family and giving my time back to the community of sports through coaching, refereeing, team management or supporting from the sideline.
From a young age, I have been a very passionate athlete. A few of my sporting highlights include, being a regional lifeguard at Hot Water Beach, selection for NZAS Basketball & Netball, playing 1st XV Girls Rugby, being identified for WBOP Level 1 & 2 High Performance Magic Netball Squad, and representing Waikato Bay of Plenty at North Island Secondary School athletics. Unfortunately, my time of representative level of sport fell short due to multiple knee surgeries, so instead I started dedicating my time into health & fitness and found myself a new sport.
I have been training in the gym now for 6 years and recently fell in love with the fundamentals of body building. What training looks like for me is building muscle mass through hypertrophy training, progressive weightlifting, and strength training, nourishing my body with wholefoods to maximize muscle growth and prioritizing rest, recovery, and hydration. This has now become my everyday lifestyle and I absolutely love what I do.
On the completion of my Diploma, I will specialize in 12 additional electives which include boxing fundamentals, high intensity interval training, mobility and stability training, nutrition foundations and science of modern diets, Olympic weightlifting, power and plyometrics, Pre and Post pregnancy, Periodisation, Strength training, trainer assisted stretching and kettlebell fundamentals, so I’m really looking forward to be able to cater for all fitness levels and walks of life here at Evolution Fitness. I really enjoy coaching and supporting people through their health and fitness journey, both mentally and physically, so I’m here to offer our awesome community anything you need to achieve your fitness goals.
I can’t wait to see and meet you all around the gym!
